Tigray Biotechnology Center PLC (Former Mekelle plant tissue culture laboratory) has a capacity of producing more than 40 million plantlets per annum since 2012G.C and has successfully achieved vital role in producing and distributing diversified crops mainly:
- Seventy Five million sugarcane plantlets delivered to different sites of Ethiopian Sugar Corporation i.e Tendaho, Metahera, Fincha, Wenji, Kesem and Tena beles starting from 2011G.C to 2015G.C as per the entered agreement. And the yearly delivered 25 million sugarcane plantlets narrates our laboratory one of the top producers on the face of our planet.
